Every day, 22 veterans commit suicide, 18% of all American suicides.
Veterans are responsible for almost 21% of domestic violence.
1 in 10 returning soldiers seen in VA have a problem with alcohol or other drugs.
But of all the challenges our warriors face, it’s isolation that often keeps them from finding the help they need.
Whether challenges arise on the battlefield, at work, in the home (or all three), resiliency—physical, mental, social, and spiritual strength—is what keeps warriors and families moving forward during times of incredible personal trial. But resiliency depends on community. The key to strengthening our warriors is warriors helping warriors. TWJ has been innovating new ways to help our warriors find help by overcoming the isolation that too often turns challenges into crises.
Since its launch in 2016, The Warrior’s Journey has continued to make greater impacts in the military community.
