If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels (Luke 9:26).

Find a soldier in any unit worth its salt and ask that person about the commander. In most cases the answer you’ll receive comes without hesitation and reflects genuine pride in the commander.

In fact, troops like to brag to other solders outside their unit about their boss. The higher the rank of the leader, the more they brag!

There’s a strange irony that exists in the Lord’s army. Some of the troopers not only don’t brag- they act ashamed to even mention the name of their commander. And He outranks everyone!

If He is your commander, don’t feel ashamed. After all, one day soon every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
