I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. (Timothy 4:6-7)
The year is approximately 62 AD. The Apostle Paul, a prisoner of Rome, is writing some of his final words in an effort to encourage a young pastor named Timothy.
Knowing his execution is imminent, Paul reflects upon his life. Paraphrasing his words, he tells Timothy, “I’ve fought the good fight. I have done my best and I have no regrets. My life has counted for something.”
Can you say that your life is counting for something? Or perhaps do you feel like you’re on a treadmill- walking, even running, but getting nowhere fast.
Want a change? Want to feel differently about the value of your life and the significance of what you are doing? The good news is that you can.
It begins by getting in touch with God. He is the divine Architect of your life. Seek him. He has a plan for your life.
