He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. Acts 10:2 (NIV)
Military leaders down through history are remembered in many ways. The Bible records observations about a centurion in the Roman army named Cornelius. Verse 2 above captures this memory well.
It’s reasonable to say that Cornelius was an outstanding soldier as well. Taken together, this man understood what life was about. The Lord was at the center of his life and worldview.
A question: could what is recorded about Cornelius also be said about you? If not, why not? Think about this for a minute. The centurion was certainly not perfect, but he had his act together. He was commended by his family and those around him. Most importantly, he was commended by God.
Want to reorient your life? You can, and the Lord will help you.
It starts with a sincere prayer to the Lord- an honest conviction that you need to change.
Wait no longer. Talk to God now.
