Fear is universal. I may not fear what you fear, but I do experience it.
As leaders get to know their warriors, they will spot those who are fearful and try to help them overcome their fears.
The military subjects it’s members to many issues that can fuel fear- constant evaluations, competition for promotion, moving to strange places, and the danger of combat.
These factors are a necessary part of military life, but leaders can take steps to help warriors and families cope with fear. This verse contains encouragement through a letter that the Apostle Paul has written to a young pastor.
Paul tells this young minister that the Lord can help Timothy overcome his fear through God’s power and the love and self-discipline that are available in the Christian life.
As a leader, a good starting point is yourself. What fears are you dealing with? Are they hampering you from being at your best?
Take courage! Face your fear and conquer it. Then help your warriors overcome their fears.
