“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “The Christ of God.” (Luke 9:20).
If you’ve served in the military you know that soldiers are expected to know their chain of command- from their immediate supervisor all the way up to the Commander-in-Chief. At any formation or during any board appearance, every soldier must know his chain of command- no excuses! NONE!
Likewise, anyone who calls himself a Christian must know who’s in charge at every level. The list of names is short. His name is Jesus. He’s KING of Kings and LORD of Lords.
One day Jesus stood before Peter and asked the question: “Who do you say I am?”
Sir, or ma’am, one day Jesus Christ will stand before you and ask the same question.
