I will listen to what God the LORD will say; he promises peace to his people, his saints– but let them not return to folly. (Psalm 85:8)
Some say the military is unforgiving of even one mistake. Is that really the case? For most mistakes, that’s not true. Look at those around you. Haven’t all of us erred at least once?
But there is another side. Soldiers who resist learning and persist in making the same mistake usually don’t last. The military profession can’t tolerate this kind of folly. Lives are at stake.
Our heavenly Commander is kind, loving, and forgiving. He promises peace for those who belong to Him. But His justice will not be mocked. Don’t return to the folly you know displeases Him or could bring harm to others.
