I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also. 2 Timothy 1:5 (NIV)

The challenges warriors and families face today are enormous, especially regarding matters of Christian faith. Some people claim that Christian faith and values are old-fashioned and not keeping pace with modern society and its changing values.

As a leader, don’t fall for this nonsense. Military men and women have been guardians of our nation and its freedoms since its founding. They have fought, suffered, and even died to ensure that future generations might continue living in a prosperous and free country.

What has bolstered these brave patriots down through the years? For many, it has been their faith in the God of the Bible. Regarding your legacy, nothing is more important than the example you set regarding your faith.

In the verse above, Paul commends a young Christian leader named Timothy for his sincere faith. Ask yourself, “Am I a leader of sincere faith, for my family and for others I lead? If not, why not?”

Decide today. Become a leader whose legacy of faith echoes into eternity.
