The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
2 Corinthians 10:4 (NIV)
The evolution of warfare challenges our military to develop and utilize weaponry that can defeat the enemy’s capabilities.
It’s no different with spiritual warfare. Worldly weapons don’t cut it.
As parents, we taught our children about spiritual warfare. One day when our youngest son was about 4 years old, he suddenly assumed a martial arts stance and proceeded to kick the air violently. As he did, he shouted, “Take this, Devil!”
A great teaching moment. We explained that the Devil was not flesh and blood and that physical weapons would not work against him. We need to employ spiritual weapons like the Word of God and prayer. Even as a young boy he understood.
The Bible teaches us that human capabilities alone are no match for the Devil’s power. But God has provided an arsenal of spiritual weaponry that absolutely works against our foe.
Like good warriors, we must learn how to use these weapons and employ them effectively against the enemy.
You can be victorious over the Devil.
