And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (NIV)
Have you ever seen a “busted” play in a football game result in a game-winning touchdown? It doesn’t happen often, but when it does the fans go wild with excitement.
All of us experience “busted” plays that somehow turn out for good. I can recall my wife pushing me to see the dermatologist. I fought going as long as possible, but finally went. The doctor started cutting out skin samples for biopsy to the point that I felt like a goalie for a dart team.
Glad he did! The lab results revealed I had melanoma and required immediate surgery. Fortunately, the surgeon told me that he was able to remove all the cancer before it penetrated my bloodstream. Had that happened, it most likely would have killed me.
Coincidence you say? I don’t think so. Romans 8:28 teaches us that God is able to take all things and work them together for good.
In my case, He took cancer and worked it for good. He can do the same for you.
