Opinion polls consistently list service in the military as one of the careers most admired and respected. The public appreciates us as leaders because we exhibit integrity, work hard, and are willing to sacrifice for others. Isaiah defines this style of leadership as generous (or ‘noble’ in other versions).
“But a generous man devises generous things, and by generosity he shall stand” (Isaiah 32:8, NKJV).
Isaiah 32 describes how a generous person uses his or her time, talents, and treasures to make wise decisions, bring relief to pain, and proclaim truth. This type of leadership gives hope and establishes a solid foundation for future generations. Why not ask God to develop your generosity at work and at home?
