Have you ever found yourself at a time when your whole attitude needed an overhaul? Nothing seemed right. You were angry, frustrated, and a difficult person for others.
David experienced this. This verse finds David seeking mercy and forgiveness from God for serious sins he had committed-adultery and murder. David realized that above anything else, he had sinned against God.
After confessing his sin and receiving forgiveness, David sought the Lord for an attitude adjustment. He asked God to purify his heart and renew his spirit. God answered his prayer.
Struggling with an attitude that you know is wrong? Turn to the Lord. Confess your sin and ask for forgiveness. Then ask the Lord to cleanse your heart and renew your spirit.
God can and will renew your attitude. Talk to Him about it.
