Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)
As a military leader, do you believe Jesus’ commands apply to you? They do, and his Orders remain in effect.
Yet how does this work? Do military leaders really have the time, and is it even appropriate in a military context?
“Yes” and “yes.” If you are a Jesus follower, He wants you to recruit others into His Army. Secondly, he would not ask you to do something that is impossible.
Making disciples begins by becoming a good disciple yourself. As you lead by example in word and deed, your subordinates, peers, and even superiors will take note.
The Lord simply wants you to be faithful. Leave the results to Him.
You can do this -you don’t have to do this alone. He will be with you. He has all power and authority.
