Lieutenant General Lawson Magruder (US Army, Ret.) has led highly successful organizations in the military, industry, and academia sectors over the past 48 years. After commissioning as a distinguished military graduate from the University of Texas at Austin’s Army ROTC program, he went on to have a highly successful career in the United States Army retiring as a Lieutenant General in 2001.
In this episode, General Magruder dives deeper into his family history, and how having a World War II combat veteran for a father prepared him for the battles he would later endure. Through his upbringing and experiences, he learned the importance of servant leadership defined by humility and poise, having true battle buddies and deep relationships on and off the field, and being grounded in his faith and family for the potholes of life.
