Warriors juggle a lot of duties, both on and off the battlefield. But few are more important than the ones that greet them when they arrive home. Parenting can be perplexing and challenging at times. But it is also a blessing, privilege, and solemn trust from God. Christian parents have the awesome responsibility of shaping the future. A parent’s love, guidance, example, and prayers can make an eternal impact on children. In the midst of our competing demands, God calls us to make our families a priority.
“Admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children” (Titus 2:4, NKJV).
The issue isn’t whether a mom works outside the home or stays home all day. Likewise, raising healthy kids isn’t dependent on whether a mother or father is called away for military service. Regardless of career responsibilities, moms and dads can partner with God to be the parents He wants them to be. With the Lord’s help, they can make every moment count to nurture, protect, train, discipline, celebrate, and fight for the precious souls with whom He has entrusted them.
