UFC (Ultimate Fighter Championship) is a fast-growing sport that brings together the world’s toughest mixed martial artists. But you know what? None of them are invincible, and eventually every one of them gets knocked down, or even knocked out. Take note: after getting knocked down, they get back up. Maybe not in that fight, or even over the next few days. But they do get up and fight again.

“But after the disciples had gathered around him, he got up and went back into the city. The next day he and Barnabas left for Derbe” (Acts 14:20, NKJV).

Prolonged war in Iraq and Afghanistan has taken its toll on warriors and families. Warriors have taken hits, and so have families. It’s nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. The key is to get back up. The Apostle Paul was stoned and left for dead. But his disciples surrounded him and helped him to his feet to continue his mission. Have you been knocked down? Everyone experiences that at some point. But you can get back up. Fellow warriors, friends, and family are waiting to help you. And so is God. Your best days lie ahead- not behind.

If you are dealing with this issue, you do not need to face the challenge alone. Jesus has conquered every challenge so you can move from your present situation to a life of overcoming hope. Invite him to lead you in your journey. He will forgive, comfort, and heal you.
