It’s Challenging, but Doable

In the military, you may kiss your children goodbye one morning and not return to them for an entire year. Does it bother you that you cannot be there for your family, to provide for their emotional needs? But you can provide for their needs, by fervently praying for your family, by corresponding with them, and by trusting God to be a Father to them.

“But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever” (1 Timothy 5:8, NKJV).

Be encouraged. God is mindful of your sacrifices. Consider the words of Jesus. “‘Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house … or wife or children for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life’” (Luke 18:29-30, NKJV).
