A Job Well Done

When military personnel are asked why they serve, military pay is not usually the number one answer. Men and women join the military to serve their country and make a difference. The mission drives them to serve with excellence and ensures every job is well done.

“So all the work that King Solomon had done for the house of the Lord was finished; and Solomon brought in the things which his father David had dedicated: the silver and the gold and the furnishings. He put them in the treasuries of the house of the Lord” (1 Kings 7:51, NKJV).

Solomon took on a massive building project—the Temple of the Lord. Similar to today, delays and cost overruns were probably issues that had to be overcome, so Solomon had to commit himself to finish what he had started. No expense was spared, and nothing was done half-heartedly.

Do you do every job with excellence? Do you finish what you start? Remember why you joined the military and follow the example of Solomon.
