Captain Jeff Morris (US Army, Ret.) has a story that anyone who has experienced trauma or adversity will resonate with. Today, he joins the podcast to share some of his experiences – the highs and the lows – in a 2-part conversation with Kevin Weaver of The Warrior’s Journey.

Jeff Morris is a former Infantry Officer in the United States Army, serving two deployments to Baghdad, Iraq as a Platoon Leader and Company Commander. After retiring as a Captain, he was instrumental in establishing a non-profit organization for veterans, serving as a board member for Farmers Assisting Returning Military, created to assist veterans suffering from PTSD. He also established his own non-profit, Legion 8 Foundation, designed to honor the lives of the eight men lost under his command and provide educational benefits and mental health counseling to those families and other service members and families of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Jeff speaks to different veterans groups and other organizations sharing his story of adversity and leadership and the power of never letting circumstances dictate what they are capable of in life. Jeff is fearlessly transparent and honest about his personal journey, something that has captured the hearts of people from all walks of life. He is dedicated to allowing his story to be used for good, carrying a message of hope and rising beyond life’s greatest challenges.
