Trust and obedience on the battlefield can save your life. Warriors who are privileged to serve with combat-savvy officers and non commissioned officers tell countless stories of counsel given at the right moment that made it possible for them to return home to family and friends. Nothing could be more tragic than a raw recruit showing up on a dangerous deployment and ignoring the advice of a leader in the field.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV).
This promise takes that principle to a level you won’t find anywhere else. Even the best human leaders make mistakes. But in all the challenges and pitfalls of this life, you are one prayer away from Someone with infinite knowledge—Someone who is motivated by divine love for you and a desire to see the best outcomes become a reality in your life.
Trust your Heavenly Father completely. Recognize your own limitations, and commit your life to the One without limits, weaknesses, or imperfections. He cannot fail to lead you in the right path.
