A family’s love is good medicine, and that’s what drives Fisher House Foundation to build comfort homes where military and veteran families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital. These homes are located at military and VA medical centers around the world, and in this episode, Fisher House Foundation Chairman and CEO Ken Fisher shares all about the impact this incredible organization is having on the military community.
Ken is a tireless advocate for those who have made tremendous sacrifices to our country including military service members, veterans and their families. Today, Ken carries on the legacy of his Great Uncle, Zachary Fisher, and oversees a network of 92 Fisher Houses throughout the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. To date, Fisher House has served over 413,000 families, provided more than 11 million nights of lodging, and saved military and veterans’ families an estimated $525 million in out-of-pocket costs for lodging and transportation.
