How Much Should I Give?

At a certain point, you have to jump. You can’t graduate from Airborne school without jumping out of a real plane. Do you trust your equipment? Do you trust your training? Do you trust the jumpmaster? Stepping out of the door of the aircraft is the action that validates your trust.

“And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago; but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have. For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have” (2 Corinthians 8:10-12, NKJV).

Similarly, step out and trust God’s Word concerning giving. Give the first and best portions of your time through regular worship, your talents through your service, and your money through regular support to your local chapel, church, or other organizations that are doing God’s work. As you give with a willing mind and heart, you will begin to experience the true job of giving. By doing this you honor God through your obedience.

Paratroopers jump… Christians give.

PS-You’ll discover through your giving that you can never out give God. Try it and see for yourself!
