“I feel so alone. Can anyone relate to what I’m going through?” In the middle of a crisis it’s easy to believe your anxiety and stresses are unique. In reality, your challenge is common to everyone—simply making it through the unpredictable obstacles of life. The Bible passage below reminds us that others can relate to our troubles.
“A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18:24, NKJV).
Just talking about your fears and stresses with a trusted fellow warrior can bring a great measure of reassurance. More importantly, you are not alone because God’s intervention in your life makes it possible to bear life’s crises and overcome them. Jesus said, “I am with you always.” Now there’s a friend you can count on!
