God has a way of being where you least expect Him. You may think God is far away, but He turns out to be sitting right beside you all along! He sees your heart, mind, and intentions. This should make us consider carefully, because God sees even when we wish He didn’t. But rest easy—God isn’t waiting to pounce on your mistakes; rather, He passionately desires a deep personal relationship with you. Seek Him with a loyal heart and a willing mind, and you will find Him waiting right around the next corner.
“‘As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever. Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it’” (1 Chronicles 28:9-10, NKJV).
