“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13
The Lord admonishes us to use all of the spiritual armor He makes available. Why? As with any formidable enemy, the devil is a skillful tactician and strategist who wants to attack at our weakest point. Failure to wear the full armor leaves us vulnerable, and almost guarantees we will become casualties on the deadly battlefield of spiritual combat.
Consider this example: In Iraq and Afghanistan, soldiers are routinely having prayer before launching convoys on the dangerous roads and highways. The good news is that this spiritual weapon is working and the Lord is protecting our forces. Unfortunately, many soldiers make good use of the military weapons on the battlefield, but neglect to use the spiritual weapons that the Lord has provided for battles in their personal lives. It doesn’t have to be this way. The Lord can help.
